Starting from the first week in April, Grace Twyford, Megan Jolly, and I (Dane Reid) have been putting together a board for autism awareness month on the windows of the front lobby. We have been working together with student counsel in trying to get as many puzzle pieces colored as possible. The meaning behind the puzzle pieces is to mimic the complexity and mystery of the autism spectrum. We have given many classes puzzle pieces to see if they would color them for extra credit. We also had a banner that we let all of the lunches sign to show their support.
